Should I go with my friends and see him?

I met a guy on a weekend trip, he was with his friends I was with mine - we spent 3 days in each other's company and there were people from other youth projects across the country. My friends spoke to him a little more than I did and he was quite shy with me although he made an effort to speak to me especially on the last day, we're from the same town so it was nice to meet miles away from home and realise he lives very close to me.

When he hugged me I was surprised at how strong his arm were lol, he's so cute and has a magnetic personality, he didnt hug anyone else which made it all the more obvious, even our mentor who came with us on the trip noticed..I think quite a few people did. He added me on facebook when we got home.

My friend is arranging a day out with him and his friends..she's quite the matchmaker lol and is trying to set up another one of our friends with someone from his group. Im just wondering...if you meet someone at the weekend in another part of the country..then arrange to meet up with them a few days later..does that look desperate? My friend seems to think it'll look natural, friends meeting up inviting some guys along, no big deal...but Im considering not going, letting them go and then asking them about it..? lol I really dont know, am I worrying too much?

Just like every female out there, you are over analyzing. He isn't going to see it that way. I am a female, and do the same thing. Just know that most men don't think that hard into it. If anything he is going to be happy you are going, and to see you again, if not just for the friendship. You don't want to wait too long and him move on, especially if you like him. How can I eat healthier?

I am thirteen years old, 5ft even, and 98 pounds. I've come to conclusion that I want to make effort to eat healthier. Currently, I have a very unbalanced and strange diet. On an average day, I eat cereal, packet ramen, and a microwave meal of some sort. As for drinks, I drink nothing but milk and water. I exercise a good 30-60 minutes a day, but want to do more.

My doctor has never complained to me about anything, but I feel that I need to change how I eat. I'm looking for tips and a list of things to try, like fruits or vegetables that are easy on the taste buds?

Eat plenty of high-fiber foods—such as, fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains. These are the "good" carbohydrates—nutritious, filling, and relatively low in calories. They should supply the 20 to 30 grams of dietary fiber you need each day, which slows the absorption of carbohydrates, so there’s less effect on insulin and blood sugar, and provides other health benefits. Just one daily 12-ounce can of soda (160 calories) can add up to 16 pounds over the course of a year. Many sugary foods are also high in fat, so they’re calorie-dense.

I've recently lost thirty pounds in less than a month, can someone help me get back on track?

I used to be a little chunky, so I'm a tad excited about this new body I have.

I need tips on the following:

Diet
Exercise
Self Esteem

Food is no longer appealing to me, so this has been the hardest part of recovery. Does anyone know how I might dive back into eating?

Exercise was never something big with me. My body shakes even before I begin, so it's safe to say I'm a weakling. I'd like to strengthen my body though, so any type of workout advice would be nice (it's the point of the whole question).

I feel very uncomfortable being this thin, so I'd like to gain some muscle (and even some fat back). I just... I can't seem to find the motivation to start it all. I think this question is a good start to finding the will power I'll need to keep up a good workout and eating regimen.

hopefully you did not starve yourself, but if so then your metabolism is going to be alot slower, which may be why you are not as hungry, and you will also be weaker then before you dieted. if you start weight training more your metabolism will become faster, therefore become more hungry, self esteem will come along with getting stronger. diet- you should eat a diecent amount if you work out, eating 6 small meals per day is good for causing your metabolism to get faster, do not starve yourself even if you put back on a few pounds, dont worry about weight only how you look in the mirror, eat plenty of fruit and protein, eggs and oatmel is good, i like eating oatmeal mixed with vanila protein powder, eat vegetables and meat, and it does not hurt to eat some fat, it is actually good for your body, but monosaturated and polysaturated fats are the best type and can actually help you burn fat, fish oil pills do to. exercise- it would be good to jog in the morning after you wake up if you begin to feel like your gaining weight back, but no more then 45 min of jogging or working out and you have to eat immediately after exercise or you will loose muscle, work out whatever time you want but preferably not before sleep cause it makes it hard to sleep, but just work out however you want there are many ways to but dont over do it, it can make you loose muscle, for each muscle 8-20 reps per set and 3-4 sets, if you only do 8 reps per set then put enough weight to make it difficult, if you do 20 reps then put some less weight so it gets difficult arount the 15th rep or so, and make sure you give each muscle 2-3 days to rest before you stress them out again, try to focus on one musle area each day so that you end up working out your whole body within 4 days to a week. for motivation you can spend money on a gym membership or buy some preotein powder or some sort of supplements, but do some research before you spend money on supplements cause some of them are crap. if you want more information on somethin just email me, and you should look into a supplement called endothil, its made by a company called novex biotech, it is byfar the best supplement i have spent money on

I think something is wrong with my BRAIN...=[?

I am starting to hallucinate at school. I mean, I don't see people walking around hahha...but rather, when I try to read a textbook, for example, I see different words than the words printed. I have to shake my head and rub my eyes and focus really hard on the paper to get rid of the fake words my mind is making up in order to see the real words underneath for a brief second before it comes back again. Also, I used to day dream a lot and zone out a lot, but now I'm actually dreaming as I am sitting there. like....I will all of the sudden have random clips of images and memories that aren't real or arent mine inside of my head. like....I will be sitting next to someone talking to them....then all of the sudden I will see a little girl swinging and talking about a pet fish in my head and then i have to snap out of it. its SO annoying, because now its starting to happen CONSTANTLY and I can't get rid of it. It's really affecting everything I do. Like, I imagine different words coming out of my teachers' mouths now!! I just know I'm going to answer a question in class one day and its not going to be a real question! like...so class, how was your weekend? ...CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS! :( That'd be so awkward. I can't read at all without imagining my own words!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrrr. Can you imagine how this is affecting my studying?? Does this happen to any of u? also I am starting to get really annoyed because...well, okay, so you know how each letter and number is associated with a color? like ,for example..A is red, 3 is green, etc? well now when I am day dreaming, I will start looking at things and they will just melt into colors. like the word soccer just blurs into a blue-green mess so I can't read it. also, do you guys know how to fuzz up your eyes? like, cross them 1/4 of the way so everything is fuzzy? is that what happens when u guys zone out? that used to happen to me all the time, but now my eyes are starting to stay that way and I just can't focus at all!!!! ahhhhhhhh! please help :( My grades are really suffering. I have qualified for mensa, so everyone thinks I am just slacking off and don't care about school since im smart enough to do better. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ME??? HOW CAN I FIX IT BEFORE I RUIN MY LIFE?? :(

Does this sound like real depression to you ?

my fiance broke up with me 4 days ago, he said our arguement during the last few days was only part of it, but also he was fed up of life, himself, me..im starting to think he may be suffering from depression due to being let down by job prospects abroad : refused jobs in qatar 2 times and waiting for job in italy for over 2.5 years. he is a qualified nurse in Tunisia which pays low so he cant afford to save for us to get engaged or married at the moment. he is also working 2 jobs in hospital&airport to save a bit. but i want to know if ppl wud say he sounds like his suffering from depression, if so what shud i do? i sent him a sms 2 b supportive a few mins ago, but im worried he will isolate himself more unless i do more to fix our relationship..plz help. thx

He may be suffering from depression, yes - but that might not be why he broke up with you. He may have been unhappy in the relationship, and that by turn could have made him feel depressed, rather than the other way round. It's impossible to know.

However, it's great that you want to be supportive. You can continue to be supportive, unless he makes it clear he wants to be left alone, but give the support unconditionally and don't put him under pressure to continue your relationship, as that will be counter-productive. Explain to him that, regardless of how he feels about you, he seems depressed, and that even though you've broken up, if there's anything you can do to help him, he can let you know and that he shouldn't feel under any pressure.
